Last night after work Janne, Miika, our friend Ripa and I gathered up and continued working on the car. We had three tasks: adjust the idle of the engine as the ignition timing was wrong, change the broken exhaust pipe and fix the hole in the skirt.
We got all three done but found two new problems: the heater block inside the dash has a leak in it and needs changing and there's another hole in the skirt needing fixing too. Well, three problems solved and two new occurred, so in the end we were still up by one ;)

The old exhaust was really broken and up for a change. The new exhaust is nice and shiny!
We removed the passenger seat to have room for repairs. Ideas were thrown into the air that we could build a bed in its place instead.
There really was a gaping hole in the skirt! Miika and Janne got it patched up fairly nicely; it still needs some more rust proofing and paint, but looks very good already!
We'd like to thank our supporters in Hungary. 10 minutes after we noticed the heater block was broken, it only required a message to our Hungarian contacts and a new heater was sourced :) A video of the build is coming up as soon as it gets through the editing table.

Eilen illalla töiden jälkeen Janne, Miika, kaverimme Ripa ja minä kokoonnuimme jälleen työstämään rallirakettiamme. Meillä oli kolme tavoitetta: korjata sytytyksen ennakon puolesta pielessä oleva tyhjäkäynti, vaihtaa pakoputki ja korjata helmassa oleva reikä.
Saatiin tavoitteet täytettyä, mutta harmiksemme vastaan tuli kaksi uutta ongelmaa: kojetaulun sisällä oleva lämmittimen kenno on hajalla ja vuotaa jäähdytinnestettä ja helmasta löytyi toinenkin työstämistä vaativa reikä. Ei siinä mitään, kolme ongelmaa korjattu, kaksi uutta ilmeni, joten illan loputtua olimme kuitenkin yhden voitolla ;)
Vanha pakoputki oli todellakin tiensä päässä. Uusi on onneksi mukavan kiiltävä ja ehjä. Janne ja Miika korjasivat helmassa olleen reijän hyvinkin siistiksi. Se vaatii vielä vähän viimeistelyä, ruostesuojausta ja maalia, mutta hyvä siitä tulee!
Unkarilaiset tukijoukkomme osoittivat jälleen ylivertaisuutensa: 10min ja yksi viesti sen jälkeen kun huomattiin lämppärin viallisuus uusi kenno oli jo löydetty Unkarin markkinoilta. Selvennyksenä siis, tätä meidän Swiftiämme on rakennettu Unkarissa 10 vuoden ajan. Illan kommelluksista on luvassa videota, kunhan se saadaan editoitua.
