SPECIFICATIONS
Model: Suzuki Swift
Engine: 1.0
Transmission: Manual
The car we're taking to Mongolia is a Suzuki Swift
from 20 years back. It’s the 1.0 I3 version, so it weighs less than
1000kg and had over 50hp when new. It’s got 78 thousand kilometers on
the clock (we’re almost quite positive it’s not going on its second
round yet) and full service history until 70 thousand kilometers ten
years ago. It shares the same history with every car this age and size:
it was used by an old lady every now and then not gathering almost any
mileage until she sold the car last autumn.
Auto, jolla ajamme Mongoliaan on Suzuki Swift 20 vuoden takaa. Se on yhden
litran moottorilla oleva malli joka painaa vähemmän
kuin 1000kg. Siinä on joskus ollut ainakin 50hp ja sillä
on todistetusti ajettu vasta 78 000km. Perinteisen tarinan mukaan edellinen omistaja oli vanhempi
rouvashenkilö, joka käyttänyt sitä lähinnä kauppakassina.
